I Re Rebaudengo Serpentine Grants sono due premi rivolti ai giovani artisti di tutto il mondo nati nel o dopo il 1989. 

Le opere dei vincitori saranno esposte alla Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, durante ARTISSIMA (Torino, 8-10 novembre 2013)

This summer, 89plus and DIS Magazine present DIScrit 89plus and the launch of two Grants to support the best international creative practices: the Re Rebaudengo Serpentine Grants. These Grants, unique world-wide, will be dedicated to introducing work by some of this generation’s most inspiring artists and protagonists. The Re Rebaudengo Serpentine Grants will be the first such awards to welcome submissions across disciplines: artists, writers, architects, filmmakers, musicians, designers, scientists and technologists.



Hosted on dismagazine.com, DIScrit 89plus offers visionaries #YoungerThanRihanna the opportunity to present their work to critics, curators, and peers. There is only one rule: entrants must be 89plus – born in or after 1989.

Two new grants, the Re Rebaudengo Serpentine Grants, will be awarded to entrants; one by international jury, and one by popular vote. The Re Rebaudengo Serpentine Grants, unique worldwide, will be dedicated to introducing work by some of this generation's most inspiring artists and protagonists. 89plus is a long-term, international, multi-platform research project co-founded by Simon Castets and Hans Ulrich Obrist. It is conceived as a mapping of the generation born in or after 1989. Without forecasting artistic trends or predicting future creation, 89plus manifests itself through panels, books, periodicals and exhibitions, bringing together individuals from a generation whose voices are only starting to be heard, yet which makes up almost half of the world's population. 89plus is supported by  – Digital, Life, Design.

We are looking for artists, architects, film-makers, musicians, scientists, theorists and writers #YoungerThanRihanna. There’s one rule: you must be 89plus – born in 1989 or later.
Two grants will be awarded: the first by an international jury consisting of Simon Castets and Hans Ulrich Obrist, co-founders of 89plus, DIS, and representatives from Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo and the Serpentine Gallery; the second by a popular vote facilitated through the DIScrit 89plus website.

The second will be chosen by a popular vote facilitated through the DIScrit 89plus website.

Each of the two grants consists of a €10,000 stipend to support the practice of the grant winner and a €5,000 production budget to realise their proposed project.

The Re Rebaudengo Serpentine Grants enable practitioners to develop their practice. Each grant winner will have access to the curatorial teams at 89plus, the Serpentine Gallery, Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, who will offer mentorship during the commissioning process.

The commissioned work will be presented as part of in Europe at a major art event in the Fall.

In addition, both grant winners will be invited to participate in the 89plus Marathon, taking place at the Serpentine Gallery, London, October 18-19th, 2013. The costs of travel and accommodation will be covered.

The Serpentine Gallery is one of Britain's best loved galleries, attracting up to 1.2 million visitors in any one year to its world-famous Exhibition, Architecture, Design, Education and Public Programmes, providing learning through art for people of all ages and backgrounds. The 89plus Marathon will be the eighth in the Serpentine Gallery's annual Marathon series, an ambitious event that brings together the fields of art, culture, science and technology.
