Fiac 2019

E dopo le ricche giornate londinesi, prima della settimana torinese, ecco la settimana dell'arte contemporanea parigina con al suo centro le Fiac.

Quest'anno sono 199 gallerie da 29 nazioni che dal 17 al 20 Ottobre occuperanno gli spazi del Grand Palais per la 46ma edizione della fiera parigina. Tra cui, per la prima volta, le italiane apalazzo di Brescia e Laveronica di Modica.

Fra le sezioni più interessanti vi segnalo quella delle gallerie emergenti sponsorizzato dal gruppo Lafayette.

La sera di apertura della fiera si svolgerà anche la notte dell'arte con tutte le più significative gallerie d'arte contemporanea aperte fino alle 22.

Anche quest'anno la fiera favorisce la quantità, a volte un poco a scapito della qualità, con diverse altre location come Petit Palais, Avenue Winston Churchill per il Fiac Project; i Jardin des Tuileries, Place de la Concorde, Musée national Eugène Delacroix, Place Vendôme  dove ci sarà l'intervento di Yayoi Kusama, per Fiac Hors Les Murs.

Come sempre l'importante è avere delle buone scarpe.

Prossimamente fiere

Artissima 2018 

Il nuovo anno porta con sè le nuove date dei principali appuntamenti commerciali del sistema arte, vediamo quelli più noti e significativi.

Si inizia con ArteFiera a Bologna, con la nuova gestione di Simone Megenoi, che si svolgerà dal 1 al 4 Febbraio, segue poi il Miart dal 5 al 7 Aprile a Milano Fiera e in autunno ci sarà come sempre Artissima che si svolgerà  a Torino dal 1 al 3 Novembre con diverse rassegne parallele.

Sul piano internazionale non possiamo citare che i diversi progetti di ArtBasel (Hong Kong 29-31 Marzo, Basile,13-16 Giugno e Miami, 5-8 Dicembre) e Frieze che quest’anno presenta la novità di Los Angeles dal 14 al 17 Febbraio, oltre a Frieze/Master London (2-6 Ottobre) e New York (2-5 Maggio).

Sarà dal 16 al 24 Marzo la storica Tefaf a Maastricht e il 3-7 Maggio a New York. Sempre nella Grande Mela la fa da leone poi con Armory Show dal 6 al 10 Marzo.  Considerata fra le più valide, a Parigi la Fiac si svolgerà dal 17 al 20 Ottobre.

45 anni di Fiac a Parigi

Quest'anno le Fiac si propone per  la 45esima edizione e lo fa con un progetto particolarmente curato.

Ancora quest'anno si svolgerà nei maestosi spazi del Grand Palais dal 18 al 21 ottobre 2018 con 195 gallerie selezionate fra le più importanti al mondo. 

Tra gli espositori, segnaliamo il ritorno di 15 gallerie internazionali degno di nota: Hauser & Wirth (Londra, Somerset, New York, Los Angeles, Hong Kong, Zurigo); Gmurzynska (Zurigo, St. Moritz); The Breeder (Atene); Canada (New York); Galleria Ghebaly (Los Angeles); High Art (Parigi); Rodolphe Janssen (Bruxelles); Kerlin (Dublino); Gabrielle Maubrie (Parigi); Modern Art (Londra); Salon 94 (New York); SpazioA (Pistoia); Tim Van Laere (Anversa); Tucci Russo (Torino); Anne de Villepoix (Parigi). 

Mentre per la prima volta parteciperanno 18 gallerie: 80M2 Livia Benavides (Lima); Andréhn-Schiptjenko (Stoccolma); Antenna Space (Shanghai); Bergamin & Gomide (San Paolo); Boers-Li (Pechino, New York, Hong Kong); Ben Brown Fine Arts (Londra, Hong Kong); Gerhardsen Gerner (Oslo, Berlino); half  gallery (New York); Paul Kasmin (New York); Magician Space (Pechino); Skopia (Genève), di cui 7 nel settore Lafayette: Arcadia Missa (Londra); SANDY BROWN (Berlino); DOCUMENT (Chicago); Jan Kaps (Colonia); LOMEX (New York); Edouard Montassut (Parigi); Bonny Poon (Parigi).

Cinque iconiche gallerie di fama internazionale presenteranno le proposte del design più importante con delle mostre: Jousse Entreprise, Galerie kreo, LAFFANOUR - Galerie Downtown, Eric Philippe e Galerie Patrick Seguin.

FIAC Projects presenterà una quarantina di sculture e installazioni in situ presso il Petit Palais, sul viale Winston Churchill e attorno al Grand Palais. Per le opere esposte nel Petit Palais, FIAC Projects è concepito in collaborazione con Marc-Olivier Wahler, direttore dell'Eli e Edythe Broad Art Museum di Michigan State University.

FIAC Hors les Murs, propone in collaborazione con il Museo del Louvre, oltre venti opere nei Giardini delle Tuileries, insieme a una mostra personale di Rebecca Warren al Musée National Eugène Delacroix. In place Vendôme, FIAC Hors les Murs lascia spazio alla creatività di Elmgreen & Dragset, in collaborazione con la galleria Perrotin. 

Tanti altri gli eventi in programmi, per la durata della fiera, tra cui un serie di eventi liberamente accessibile (Parate per la FIAC), conferenze (Conversation Room) e proiezioni di film (Cinéphémère).

Fiac, 45 anni di grandi proposte d'arte a Parigi

Sono già 45 anni che le Fiac propone la sua articolata fiera d'arte nel cuore di Parigi, con un grande riscontro di pubblico e di critica.

Per festeggiare questo bel traguardo il programma sarà particolarmente curato e stimolante. Fra le tante proposte ci saranno le opere del duo Elmgreen & Dragset in Vendôme e sarà realizzato un progetto architettonico sulla magnifica Place de la Concorde.

The 45th edition of FIAC will be held in Paris from 18 to 21 October 2018 and will host 193 galleries in the nave and exhibition rooms of the Grand Palais. The 2018 selection – including many of the most influential specialists worldwide in the fields of modern art, contemporary art and design – will present the finest examples of artistic creation since the turn of the twentieth century; modern masters through to the latest trends, notably represented in the Lafayette Sector.

  

FIAC Galleries will bring together 193 galleries from 27 countries including 3 countries new to FIAC in 2018: Greece, Peru, Ireland. Modern and contemporary design will again be present following its return in 2017. Five iconic galleries of international repute will exhibit: Jousse Entreprise, Galerie kreo, LAFFANOUR – Galerie Downtown, Eric Philippe, and Galerie Patrick Seguin.

FIAC Projects (formerly On Site) will present some forty sculptures and installations in situ at the Petit Palais, on the Avenue Winston Churchill (pedestrianized once again during FIAC week) and around the Grand Palais. Marc-Olivier Wahler, Director of the Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum at Michigan State University is the guest curator for this 2018 edition of FIAC Projects.

FIAC Hors les Murs, organized in partnership with the Louvre Museum, will present an ensemble of over twenty outdoor works in the Tuileries Gardens, together with a solo exhibition of Rebecca Warren at the Musée National Eugène Delacroix. On Place Vendôme, FIAC Hors les Murs extends a carte blanche invitation to Elmgreen & Dragset to invest this emblematic Parisian site, in collaboration with Perrotin. An extension of the Hors les Murs promenade at the jardin des Tuileries, FIAC also inaugurates an ephemeral village of architectural projects on Place de la Concorde.

FIAC Programmes presents, for the duration of the fair, a freely accessible programme of performances (Parades for FIAC), conferences (Conversation Room), and film screenings (Cinéphémère) with no charge.

Fiac 2017 - arte contemporanea a Parigi

Questa sera si inaugura la nuova edizione della Fiac la fiera d’arte contemporanea parigina che in questi anni si è consolidata internazionalmente. 

Novità dell’anno Parades, presso il Palais de la Découverte, una rassegna sulle performance; proposta che segue un trend un poco in declino, altre fiere le hanno già ridimensionate. Conferma di On Site al Petit Palais. 

Quest’anno ad occupare l’elegante Place Vendôme ci saranno le opere di Oscar Tuazon. Questa quarantaquattresima edizione si presenta stabile e con medie aspettative, il programma corale è discreto.

The International Art Fair announces the list of participating galleries

For its 44th edition from 19 to 22 October 2017 in Paris, FIAC will host a carefully balanced selection of leading international galleries in the iconic Grand Palais. FIAC consolidates the presence of major galleries working in the field of modern and contemporary art and confirms its support of the emerging generation, notably via the Lafayette Sector organized in partnership with our official sponsor, the Galeries Lafayette Group. Fresh, eclectic and edgy, this year’s selection is sure to attract wide-spread attention from connaisseurs and amateurs alike. Keen interest from exhibitors in all sectors of the market confirms Paris’s growing appeal. Increasingly FIAC appears as a must in the autumn calendar.

This year, FIAC will bring together exhibitors from 26 countries: Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Colombia, Egypt, France, Germany, Holland, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Israel, Italy, Kosovo, Mexico, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Spain, South Korea, Switzerland, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

The largest contingent of exhibitors is French (over a quarter of those included) and European (over two thirds).

For this international event, the French selection includes widely respected specialists of modern art (Galerie 1900-2000, Applicat-Prazan, Le Minotaure, Natalie Seroussi, Galerie Zlotowski), authoritative contemporary galleries (Air de Paris, Art : Concept, Chantal Crousel, gb agency, Karsten Greve, Lelong, kamel mennour, Nathalie Obadia, Perrotin, Almine Rech, Thaddaeus Ropac, Daniel Templon, Georges-Philippe & Nathalie Vallois, Jocelyn Wolff, etc.) and galleries renowned for their capacity to detect young talents such as Galerie Allen, Balice Hertling, Marcelle Alix or New Galerie, to name only a few.

The 2017 edition is characterized by the return of influential European galleries, both well-established and emerging such as ChertLüdde (Berlin); Peter Kilchmann (Zurich); Nogueras Blanchard (Madrid); Mezzanin (Geneva); and Vera Cortês Art Agency (Lisbon). General Sector

The General Sector presents galleries under the nave of the Grand Palais and upstairs in the Salon d’honneur, the Upper Galleries, and the Salon Jean Perrin (inaugurated in 2016).

The galleries included in the General Sector were selected by a panel of internationally renowned gallerists, representative of different fields of expertise, geographic zones, and generations: Olivier Antoine (Art : Concept, Paris), Gisela Capitain(Capitain Petzel, Berlin), Mark Dickenson (Neue Alte Brücke, Frankfurt), David Fleiss (Galerie 1900-2000, Paris), Solène Guillier (gb agency, Paris), Jan Mot (Jan Mot, Brussels), Emmanuel Perrotin (Galerie Perrotin, Paris, New York, Hong Kong, Seoul, Tokyo) and Christophe Van de Weghe (Van de Weghe, New York).

Lafayette Sector

The Lafayette Sector brings together ten emerging galleries, selected for the exemplary quality of their prospective programming and on the basis of a project specifically designed for FIAC presenting one or two young artists.

The galleries participating in the 2017 edition were selected from over a hundred applications, by a panel of experts comprising Daria de Beauvais (Curator, Palais de Tokyo, Paris), Mark Dickenson (Gallerist, Neue Alte Brücke, Frankfurt),Guillaume Houzé (Image and Sponsorship Director, Galeries Lafayette Group, Paris), François Quintin (Associate Director, Galeries Lafayette Corporate Foundation, Paris), Elisa R. Linn (Curator, km temporaer, Berlin) and Matt Williams (Curator, ICA, London).

For this edition, the ten galleries selected from eight countries (Colombia, Egypt, India, Kosovo, Mexico, Norway, Switzerland, and the United States) clearly illustrate the energy and commitment of emerging international galleries: Bernhard(Zurich), Experimenter (Calcutta), Freedman Fitzpatrick (Los Angeles), Gypsum (Cairo), Instituto de Visión (Bogotá),joségarcía ,mx (Mexico City), LambdaLambdaLambda (Pristina), Queer Thoughts (New York), SCHLOSS (Oslo) andTruth and Consequences (Geneva).

On Site

Launched in 2016, On Site presents sculptures and installations in locations in and around the prestigious Petit Palais: the exhibition spaces, the garden, the esplanade, as well as the Avenue Winston Churchill which will be transformed into a pedestrian zone for the duration of FIAC. On Site is organized in collaboration with Christophe Leribault, (Director and curator of the Petit Palais) and Eva Wittocx (Senior Curator, M-Museum Leuven), associate curator for 2017. The list of participating galleries will be announced shortly.

Hors les Murs

FIAC reaffirms its strong cultural mission through the Hors Les Murs programme. A program of artworks - unrivalled in scope in the landscape of international art fairs - will be presented in emblematic Parisian sites: the Jardin des Tuileries, the Musée National Eugène Delacroix, and the Place Vendôme.

The selection committee for the Jardin des Tuileries, presided by Vincent Pomarède (Curator in Chief, Director of Mediation and Cultural Programming), includes curators from the Musée du Louvre together with Bernard Blistène (Director of the Centre Pompidou, Paris), and Jean de Loisy (President of the Palais de Tokyo, Paris). FIAC will also present the performance festival Parades for FIAC, as well as a series of conferences and screenings of artists’ films. The full programme will be announced soon.

Fiac 2016

Ultimo giorno per la Fiac, annata discreta, unica novità di rilievo negli spazi del Petit Palais una nuova stupenda location.

Il premio Duchamp è stato assegnato all'artista Kader Attia, gli altri finalisti erano Barthélémy Toguo; Yto Barrada e Ulla von Brandenburg.

Parigi a tutt’arte - A Parigi con la Fiac una ricca settimana di eventi artistici

In questi giorni a Parigi prende corpo la fiera d’arte Fiac, che dopo diversi anni di crescita, cerca in questi difficili tempi una stabilizzazione.

Ultimo anno presso i suggestivi spazi del Grand Palais, che chiuderà per lavori di ristrutturazione, intanto la rassegna mette sul piatto una città con tantissimi stimoli coordinati.

Anche quest’anno Place Vendôme ospiterà una grande installazione, quest’anno sarà dell’artista Ugo Rondinone, altro spazio speciale sarà il Musée national Eugène- Delacroix con una mostra di Stéphane Thidet e come sempre i giardini delle Tuileries.

Sulla strada opposto ci sarà la sezione On Site nell’elegante Petit Palais, logisticamente migliore dei Docks che l’anno scorso è stato alquanto snobbato.

Fra i tanti eventi segnaliamo l’ Atelier Swarovski Home proporrà anche un omaggio all’architetto Zaha Hadid con una delle sue ultime creazioni, ideata in dieci anni di progettazione, la “Crista” .

Anche quest’anno durante la rassegna sarà assegnato il Prix Marcel Duchamp 2015

Come sempre ricco il corollario di eventi paralleli come Slick, sotto il Pont Alexandre III, Art Élysées et Design Élysées, sempre molto variegata. YIA (Young International Artists) al Carreau du Temple nel Marais e concludiamo con la nuova edizione di Paris Internationale al 51 Avenue d’Iéna, che l’anno scorso aveva avuto molto successo.

Un rapido sguardo ai tantissimi eventi presenti nei principali spazi culturali della città

Si va dalla Gallerie Lafayette con la mostra collettiva “Faisons de l’inconnu un allié” al Il Palais de Tokyo c’è il teatro artistico di Tino Seghal, che oramai superata la fase di novità rimescola le solite strategie teatrali assodate, mentre il vicino Musée d’Art Moderne è in corso la mostra Bernard Buffet.

Il Musée Rodin propone nei suoi giardini le installazioni di François Stahly.

Il Centre Pompidou una mostra su Magritte

Mentre alla Fondation Cartier la grande mostra dal titolo “Le Grand Orchestre des Animaux”

Non si finisce mai! Dopo Londra ora è il turno di Parigi

E dopo la frizzante settimana d'arte londinese ora è la volta del girone parigino.

Si dice sempre che l'arte è il cibo dell'anima, ma queste giornate paiono più abbuffate, in cui tutto viene digerito rapidamente, senza sedimentarsi troppo.

Chissà di quali peccati si sono macchiati i collezionisti e chissà quale sarà il contrappasso.

Ma torniamo a Parigi che si offre con le Fiac, che ha espanso il suo raggio di azione in diverse aree della ville lumiere, un articolato programma, affiancata da altre divertenti fieri, come  Officielle, Paris Internationale, Art et Design Élysées, Slick, Variation, Outsider Art Fair and Asia Now, via sicuramente non c’è tempo per annoiarsi.

Anche Parigi propone diverse mostre, tutte alquanto di medio livello, fra le tante possiamo segnalare quella di Ugo Rondinone dedicata a John Giorno al Palais de Tokyo, che in questi ultimi anni è diventato uno degli spazi più stimolanti. Alquanto modaiolo l'evento presso La Monnaie de Paris ideato da Christian Boltanski e H.U.Obrist. 

Sicuramente da non perdere la grande mostra sulla Galleria Continua al 104 e il rinnovato Museo dell'Uomo.

Cinéphémère

la Fondazione Ricard presenta il Cinéphémère nel Giardino Tuileries, in collaborazione con la Fiac.

Un cinema da 14 posti, completamente attrezzata e installato in un contenitore appositamente predisposto per questo evento. 

Qui scorreranno venti film d'artista, durata massimo 45 minuti, in programma ogni giorno, da 

Martedì 21 a Domenica 26 ottobre dalle 13h alle 18h. 

FIAC e la Fondazione Ricard sono lieti di collaborare con FILAF (Art Festival Internazionale del Libro e Film) e FIDMarseille (International Film Festival) per espandere la sua programmazione.

Come da tradizione anche quest'anno ci sarà l'apertura serale delle gallerie parigine, dall ore 18 alle 22, alcune anche con un orario più tardo

Lafayette a le Fiac

Come parte del suo impegno per la creazione contemporanea, la Galeries Lafayette, si è  associato alla FIAC dal 2005, nel 2009 è diventato il partner ufficiale della Fiera. 

La società ha inaugurato nello stesso anno le Secteur Lafayette, un programma di sostegno per le gallerie che sostengono artisti emergenti.  

Fiac ai Jardin des Tuileries e nei Jardin des Plantes

Sta per prendere avvio una nuova edizione de la Fiac, iniziamo da uno sguardo esterno con alcuni scatti della sezione dei Jardin des Tuileries, davanti al Louvre.
