Gallery è lieta di annunciare Jitterbug Seance Science /The Preparation, la
seconda personale di Stefanie Popp in galleria. Nella mostra sarà presentato
The Preparation, un film di 30 minuti che mette in scena una cerimonia in cui
sei personaggi partecipano a quello che ricorda un rituale di passaggio o di
iniziazione. Il film è ambientatoin una stanza semibuia piena di oggetti,
alcuni realizzati dall’artista, altritrovati e collezionati nel corso degli
anni, che insieme costituiscono un sistema di segni della personale mitologia e
simbologia di Stefanie Popp,caratteristico della sua ricerca pittorica. La
colonna sonora di The Preparation è stata appositamente creata da “Die Bäume”,
un progetto musicale di Robert Kraiss e Florian Gass.

Gallery is pleased to announce Jitterbug Seance Science / The Preparation, the
second solo show of Stefanie Popp in the gallery. In the gallery will be
launched The Preparation, a 30 minutes long film that stages a sort of ceremony
with six characters, resembling a transformational process or a rite of
passage.The film is set in a dimly lit room filled with different objects, some
of them made by the artist, othersfound and collected over years, all together
building a system of references of the personal mythology and symbology of
Stefanie Popp, typical of her paintings. The Preparation’s soundtrack is made
by “Die Bäume”, a music project of Robert Kraiss and Florian Gass.
