L'UBSMAP Global Art Initiative Guggenheim ha recentemente lanciato MAP Navigator, un
nuovo strumento interattivo che salda insieme i video, blog, audio e bassa sugli
artisti per ogni regione geografica associata con l'iniziativa: Sud e Sud-Est asiatico,
latino America e il Medio Oriente e Nord Africa. Le risorse sono mappati come punti
interattivi in tutto il mondo, invitando i visitatori a esplorare questa vasta libreria
di contenuti digitali, che include profili video di artisti, registrazioni audio

Art dall'America Latina today”, la seconda delle tre mostre Guggenheim UBS MAP Global
Art Initiative.
Organizzato da Pablo León de la Barra, sotto lo
stesso sole indaga risposte creative da 40 artisti e collettivi in rappresentanza
di 15 paesi per fattori economici, storici, politici e sociali in tutta l'America
Latina. Tutte le opere sono state recentemente acquistato per la collezione del
Guggenheim sotto gli auspici del Guggenheim UBS MAP Fund Acquisto. Le opere nella

Dopo
la sua presentazione a New York, la mostra si trasferirà al Museu de Arte Moderna
de São Paulo (MAM) in Brasile e poi al Museo Jumex a Città del Messico. Per completare
la missione del progetto di stimolare il dialogo internazionale, la mappa del sito
dispone anche di contributi di artisti, curatori e studiosi, nonché materiale di
approfondimento su ogni artista il cui lavoro è stato acquisito come parte del MAP.
Attraverso il blog del progetto, i visitatori online sono invitati a seguire MAP
attraverso prospettive uniche in America Latina, dispacci da viaggi di ricerca León
de la Barra, e gli aggiornamenti mensili di progetto.
La
mostra è accompagnata da una serie di programmi per adulti e famiglie, tra cui incontri
con artisti, spettacoli e visite guidate. A chi è impossibilitato a visitare la
mostra può scaricare l’ applicazione gratuita per accedere a una ricca esperienza
multimediale di Under the Same Sun, incluse audio esclusivi e video, commenti sui
temi della mostra da León de la Barra e artisti espositivi, famiglia e programmi

TheGuggenheim UBS MAP Global Art Initiative recently launchedMAP Navigator, a new interactive
tool that knits together videos, blog posts, audio, and background on the artists
for each geographic region associated with the initiative: South and Southeast Asia,
Latin America, and the Middle East and North Africa. Resources are mapped as interactive
points around the globe, inviting visitors to browse this vast library of digital
content, which includes video profiles of artists, audio recordings and transcripts
of symposia held in New York and Bangkok, and in-depth written perspectives on arts
and culture.
The
launch of MAP Navigator coincided with the opening of Under the Same Sun: Art from
Latin America Today, the second of three Guggenheim UBS MAP Global Art Initiative
exhibitions. Organized by Pablo León de la Barra, Under the Same Suninvestigates
creative responses by 40 artists and collectives representing 15 countries to economic,
historical, political, and social factors across Latin America. All works have been
newly acquired for the Guggenheim’s collection under the auspices of the Guggenheim
UBS MAP Purchase Fund. The artworks in the New York presentation are organized around
six themes:

Following
its presentation in New York, Under the Same Sun will travel to Museu de Arte Moderna
de São Paulo (MAM) in Brazil and Museo Jumex in Mexico City. To complement the project’s
mission of stimulating international dialogue, the MAP website also features contributions
by artists, curators, and scholars, as well as in-depth material about each artist
whose work has been acquired as part of MAP. Through the project’s blog, online
visitors are invited to follow MAP through uniquePerspectives on Latin America,
Dispatches from León de la Barra's research trips, and monthly project updates.
The
exhibition is accompanied by a dynamic series of programs for adults and families,
including artist talks, performances, and gallery tours held in Spanish and Portuguese.
Both museumgoers and those unable to attend the exhibition in person can download
the free Guggenheim app to access a rich multimedia experience of Under the Same
Sun, including exclusive audio and video, commentary on the exhibition’s themes
from León de la Barra and exhibition artists, family and school programs, verbal
imaging tours for visitors who are partially sighted or blind, information on over
900 works in the collection, and more.
