La nuova edizione di Frieze Masters si annuncia subito con la novità di Gucci che diventa partner dell'evento. 

Il noto marchio di moda italiano è sempre stato attento al sistema dell'arte e questa pare una di quelle occasioni da non perdere per essere vicina al vivere l'arte contemporanea in diretta, per cui perfetto il suo sostegno per l'iniziativa Frieze Masters Talks che vedrà noti personaggi dell'arte, quali Cecily Brown, Glenn Brown, Bice Curiger, John Currin, Michael Govan, Luc Tuymans and Nicholas Penny

Altro importante aspetto ovviamente la selezione delle gallerie che quest'anno si arricchisce di nuovi importanti nomi, oltre alla conferma dei più gettonati già presenti, che occuperanno gli spazi disegnati da Annabelle Selldorf.

Frieze + Gucci
Frieze is pleased to announce Gucci as a new partner for Frieze Masters 2014. Gucci will be an Associate Sponsor of Frieze Masters and partner for Frieze Masters Talks at the third edition of the leading fair for art from ancient to modern.
The partnership brings together one of the world’s leading luxury fashion houses with Frieze Masters, in the first partnership of its kind for the fair. Frieze Masters Talks is programmed by curator Jasper Sharp and brings together major artists, critics and curators to draw out relationships between contemporary and historical art. Previous participants have included: Cecily Brown, Glenn Brown, Bice Curiger, John Currin, Michael Govan, Luc Tuymans and Nicholas Penny.
Gucci’s support of the Frieze Masters Talks extends to a special one-off conversation between Ed Ruscha and Ian Wardropper in the Directors’ Dining Room of the Frick Collection, New York, on Monday, 5 May 2014.
Victoria Siddall, Director of Frieze Masters said: ‘The talks programme is one of the most exciting elements of the fair as it shows how contemporary artists are inspired by history. I am thrilled to have Gucci’s support in 2014 and I look forward to exploring more of the world’s most important museum collections with the most exciting of guides – today’s leading contemporary artists.’
Frieze Masters takes place from the 15 – 19 October 2014 in Regent’s Park London. In 2014 the fair will be supported by main sponsor Deutsche Bank for the third consecutive year.

Participating Galleries
The participating galleries will exhibit art ranging from the ancient era to old masters through to art of the twentieth century. Representing 19 countries, this year sees new galleries that include: Marian Goodman Gallery (New York), Paula Cooper Gallery (New York), Daxer & Marschall (Mu- nich), Kunstkammer Georg Laue (Munich), Helly Nahmad Gallery (London), Pace Gallery (London), The Weiss Gallery (London), Ariadne Galleries (London), Craig F. Starr Gallery (New York); Berwald Oriental Art (New York).


Spotlight is a section of the fair dedicated to solo artist presentations. It offers visitors the chance to discover artists working throughout the 20th century, from 14 territories: Austria, Brazil, France, Germany, India, Japan, Korea, Lebanon, Romania, South Africa, Spain, UAE, UK and USA. The selection of the galleries in Spotlight is advised by curator Adriano Pedrosa.

This year introduces new opening times for both Frieze Masters and Frieze London, with Frieze Masters opening to the public on Wednesday 15 October, 2014.
Frieze Masters is designed by architect Annabelle Selldorf whose contemporary, elegant environment provides a sophisticated context for art of all ages.
Frieze Masters will include a programme of talks in which leading contemporary artists will draw out relationships between their practice and histori- cal art. Talks at Frieze Masters are programmed by Jasper Sharp.
This year introduces Gucci as Associate Sponsor and supporter of the Frieze Masters Talks programme, bringing together one of the world’s leading luxury fashion houses with Frieze Masters, in the first partnership of its kind for the fair.
