"I am happy to take over the direction of this already well-established fair, which has strong growth potential. Our goal is to make artmonte-carlo even more attractive for our exhibitors by capturing a continually renewing audience. Continuing to diversify our buyer base through a varied and high-quality exhibition program is therefore one of our key objectives for the future", says Charlotte Diwan.
artmonte-carlo will welcome 27 international galleries of modern and contemporary art, presenting over 200 artists. Returning galleries include Hauser & Wirth, Perrotin, Mennour, Van de Weghe, Vedovi, Franco Noero, Nathalie Obadia and Almine Rech. They will be joined by newcomers such as Lisson Gallery, Lelong & Co. and Georges-Philippe & Nathalie Vallois, among others.
In parallel with the salon d'art, a rich program of events will offer a series of visits and evenings, in collaboration with institutions and collections anchored in the Principality's surroundings.
The Salon d'art takes place in a particularly dynamic context, coinciding in particular with the inauguration of a major exhibition dedicated to the British artist Joseph Mallord William Turner and his contemporaries (in collaboration with TATE London) at the Grimaldi Forum, auctions and Monaco Art Week. At the same time, the Nouveau Musée National de Monaco will present exhibitions dedicated to the artists Miquel Barceló and Pier Paolo Pasolini. In addition, the salon's long-standing partner, F.P.Journe watches, will be acquiring a work presented at the fair, which will then be donated to the Nouveau Musée National de Monaco.
artmonte-carlo thanks its partners: F.P.Journe, Groupe Pictet, Piaget, Jutheau Husson, Ruinart, SMT Fine Art, Hôtel Métropole Monte-Carlo and Hôtel Fairmont
